TRENTON (Dec. 20, 2019) – Robert B. of Rahway prefers playing Scratch-Off games, opting for draw game tickets only when the jackpots are high.
He stopped by his local retailer earlier this fall and picked three Win For Life tickets from the display board to play. After stepping aside for other customers, Robert scratched the tickets in the store.
As he scratched and uncovered the winning numbers on his third ticket, he realized he had a match.
Once he revealed the prize, he had to double-check to make sure he saw the ticket correctly. He checked again and couldn’t believe it, he had just won the top prize – $5,000 a Month for Life!
Robert hurried over to Lottery Headquarters to file his claim. While there, he told Lottery officials that he was still in shock and the win hadn’t actually set in yet.
He only had a chance to tell some of his family before that moment, and was anxious to share the excitement with the rest of them as soon as he could.
When asked if he had any plans for the prize money, Robert said that the only thing on his list to purchase was a new TV.
He has plans to invest the rest for long-term returns.
The lucky retailer that sold the ticket was Rahway Mini Mart, 297 West Grand Ave., Rahway in Union County. The cash value of the ticket is $1,060,000.
