FAA to Investigate Laser Strike of jetBlue Aircraft in Paterson

The Federal Aviation Authority is investigating a laser strike that occurred in Paterson on Saturday night.

According to a statement released by FAA officials, the crew of JetBlue Flight 1944, an Airbus A320, reported that the aircraft was illuminated by a laser when it was over Paterson en route to Newark Liberty International Airport at 8:25 p.m. last night.

Officials say, there were no injuries on board the plane and no one has been arrested for the incident at this time.

The FAA will handle the investigation.
