Man Pulled From Car Then Viciously Beaten in Jersey City

A vicious attack of a motorist that was caught on videotape has police officers in Jersey City on the search for several suspects responsible for the incident.

Authorities in Jersey City have not released official information regarding the attack, but according to a video that surfaced on social media, several males were observed pulling a male form a car near the intersection of Orient and Martin Luther Kind Drive then beat, stop, and rob the victim in front of more than two dozen people.

Here is what we were able to confirm, at approximately 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning, police were called to the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Orient to investigate reports of a possible stabbing. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a severely injured and unconscious male lying in the street at that location.

During the course of the investigation at the scene, it was then believed by authorities that the male was struck by a car.

Contrary to social media reports that stated that the unidentified male passed away from his injuries, initial reports indicated that the victim's injuries were non-life threatening.

The individual who posted the video of the attack stated in a Facebook post that the victim was driving a vehicle that may have struck another car at the intersection.

According to information in the Facebook post, this is when the men pulled the victim from the car then beat and stomped him in his head while he laid motionlessly in the street.

A request for public information to confirm the circumstances behind this attack was made to The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office for official reports of a possible fatality and Jersey City police officials for other information.

**UPDATE 9:47 AM:** Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office referred questions to Jersey City Police. This is not a homicide investigation and no confirmed information on a fatality.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
