Pequannock Township emergency responders are on the scene of a trench collapse that trapped a person up to his waist this morning.
Police said the unidentified man got trapped in a collapsed trench at the Knights of Columbus Hall, on Lincoln Park Road.
Multiple emergency responder agencies including Paterson, Bayonne and Madison, sent rescue trucks to assist in the operation.
As of 11:45 a.m. police say panels were being lowered into the trench to hold back additional dirt or rubble.
There are no severe injuries immediately reported.
