East Orange Man Sought for Newark Stabbing

Newark police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Louis Holder, 50, of East Orange, who is wanted for an aggravated assault stabbing that occurred on March 9th.

According to authorities, officers responded to Coachman’s Bar, located at 604 Springfield Avenue, sometime around 2:45 a.m., on a call of a stabbing.

Officials say upon arrival officers found a man stabbed by another man following a quarrel outside the bar. The victim was ultimately transported to University Hospital for treatment and released.

Detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to identify Louis Holder as a suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Aggravated Assault.

While police are actively searching for Holder, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from the streets.

Police described Holder as 5’8” tall, 205 lbs., has a medium complexion with brown eyes and has a bald head. Authorities say Holder was last seen wearing a black pea coat and dark colored pants and shoes.
