Woman Wanted for Newark South Ward Stabbing

Police officials in Newark issued a warrant for the arrest of Ms. Quawannah S. Fate, 24, of Newark, who they say is wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019.

According to a statement released by Newark Police, at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers responded to a South Ward residence on a call of a stabbing.

Police said when officers arrived at that location they found a man stabbed following a quarrel with a woman that he knew.

EMS transported the unidentified victim to University Hospital for treatment where he was later released.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Quawannah S. Fate as a suspect in this incident and have secured a warrant for her arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose according to police officials.

Police described Fate as 5’9” tall, 210 lbs. and has a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

Police say Fate also has a tattoo of a purple heart on the left ear.

While police are actively searching for Fate, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing her from city streets.
