Police Arrest NY Man for Using Counterfeit Bills at Various NJ Turnpike Tolls

The New Jersey State Police announced the arrest of Moustapha Toure, 22, of Staten Island, N.Y. after he allegedly used counterfeit bills at various New Jersey Turnpike interchange tolls.

According to authorities, on Jan. 3rd, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority reported that a man had used $200 worth of counterfeit bills at different tolls.

Through various investigative means, investigators identified Toure as the suspect. Detectives from the Troop "D" Criminal Investigation Office arrested Toure on Jan. 29th. Police charged him with criminal simulation and theft, and was released pending a court appearance.

Charges are mere accusations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
