There were no injuries reported in a shots fired incident that occurred on a Passaic Street on Monday evening.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of Hammond Avenue and Montgomery street at around 8 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers arrived to find a taxi cab with its windows shots out at that location.
Units canvassed the scene and found shell casings, but there were no victims reported after a thorough search of the area.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
