New Jersey

**NJSP UPDATE;** “Whenever a child is left at a facility under the state's Safe Haven Law, State Police post a notice to make sure the child wasn't abducted. The notice then is taken down if no one comes forward and the child is put up for adoption”. ”Police are not looking for the mother because it would defeat the purpose of the Safe Haven” -Sergeant Jeff Flynn, NJSP
