Juvenile Injured After Fall from Light Rail Train in Jersey City

Jersey City

New Jersey Transit Police are investigating an incident where a person fell from a moving train this evening in Jersey City.

According to a preliminary statement released by NJ Transit officials, the incident happened at around 7:12 this evening, near the Martin Luther King Drive station, where a juvenile boy attempted to hang onto the Hudson Bergen Light Rail train when he apparently lost his balance and fell onto the tracks and struck his head.

Officials say the boy was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where the severity of his injury could not be immediately confirmed.
