Atlantic City Man Indicted for Sexual Assault of Child

Atlantic City

An Atlantic County Grand Jury has returned a 9-count indictment of an Atlantic City man in connection to the sexual assault of a juvenile victim, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

According to authorities, Santos Blanco, 41, has been indicted on the following charges:

4 counts of first degree Aggravated Sexual Assault

4 counts of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child

1 count of third degree Endangering

In September, Blanco was charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of another child in connection to incidents he committed against a juvenile victim during the course of several years.

In October, Blanco was charged with two counts of first degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, two counts of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of third degree Endangering.

In connection to the charges in September, following a month long joint investigation with Detectives from the Pleasantville and Atlantic City Police Departments, detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Blanco on Tuesday September 19, 2017.

Judge Patricia Wild granted the State’s motion to detain Blanco. Both cases are being prosecuted by Chief Assistant Prosecutor John Flammer.

These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
