A 32-year-old Trenton man was arrested after a 6-year-old girl's father allegedly found him in his daughter's bed in the middle of the night.
According to police, early Tuesday morning Edgar Mendoza reportedly broke into Bayard Street home and snuck into a 6-year-old girl's room.
The girl's father noticed a light was shut off upstairs so he proceeded to investigate. When he walked into his daughter's bedroom he found Mendoza in her bed.
Immediately Mendoza jumped out of the bed and through the bedroom window.
Responding officers eventually apprehended Mendoza and charged him with burglary and aggravated sexual assault.
According to Trenton police, Mendoza was accused last year of peeping into a home.
