Deceased Man Found in Yard Shot Multiple Times in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 8:00 a.m., today, police responded to the area of 431 East 18th Street in the city in response to a call from a resident that a deceased male was located in the rear yard of that location.

Authorities said upon officer's, arrival, they found a dead 20-year-old-male victim, Mr. Dante Whyte, from Paterson in the backyard of 431 East 18th Street, with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
