Police are actively investigating an overnight stabbing that sent one person to the hospital in Brick.
Emergency responders were called to the 200 block of Sawmill Road after receiving reports of an injured person before 9:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, one person was found suffering several stab wounds at that location.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment according to reports. The extent of the victim's injuries were reported serious, but stable reports said.
Police have not released the motive for the stabbing at this time.
