The Elizabeth Police Department is investigating a crash that caused damage to a traffic signal pole Monday evening.
According to police, shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to the corner of Madison Avenue and East Jersey Street for a report of a crash with possible injuries.
Police arrived at the scene to find that a vehicle struck a traffic signal, knocking it to the ground. Repair crews later responded to restore the damaged pole.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
