An investigation into a train strike that sent a person to the hospital overnight in Paterson is underway.
Police and EMS were called tot he area of Market Street and Crosby Place before 11 p.m. where they located the victim suffering serious injuries after being struck by a train according to preliminary reports.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering a severe leg injury reports said.
There were no reported injuries onboard the train that struck the victim.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
