Heriberto Rodriquez and Paterson Police Department Director Jerry Speziale announce the shooting death of **Juan Martinez, 39-years-old**, of Paterson, in the area of Madison Street and Essex Street in Paterson, at approximately 4:45 PM on May 1st.
According to authorities, EMS transported the victim to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he later died as a result of the shooting.
Police made no arrests and are seeking information regarding multiple people observed in the area at the time of the shooting.
