A 29-year-old man wanted in connection with a January shooting was taken into custody after a casino employee recognized him and alerted police.
According to police, Sharod Taylor, was arrested Saturday morning after a Resorts Hotel and Casino employee spotted him and alerted police. Taylor was ultimately arrested without incident during a motor vehicle stop once he left the casino.
Taylor has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
He is being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
On Jan. 25, Taylor reportedly fired at a man sometime around 4:15 p.m. in the area of Venice Park.
Police responded to the scene were evidence of a shooting was found. Although no one was injured police identified the intended victim.
Further investigation ultimately led to Taylor being named as the shooting suspect.
