A crash that caused injuries in Newark overnight in Newark is under investigation.
Swift responding fire, EMS, and firefighters rushed to the scene of the collision that happened on South Orange Avenue near Vailsburg Park shortly before 10:30 p.m. according to reports.
Upon their arrival the noticed two severely damaged vehicle with a woman still inside one of the cars.
Rescue crews were able to cautiously remove the injured woman from the car then rush her to the hospital where her injuries were not reported as life threatening.
There were no other serious injuries immediately reported.
The cause of the crash is being looked into by the Newark Police Department.
