Hudson County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the death of a woman found dead on Manning Avenue in Jersey City last night has been ruled a homicide.
According to authorities, police responded to Manning Avenue near Johnson Avenue sometime after 10 p.m. where they found a woman in her 30's dead.
The homicide investigation is active and ongoing, according to authorities.
Although officials have not confirmed, sources close to the investigation believe incident to be domestic in nature. The search for the suspect who attacked the woman in her home is ongoing.
