A consignment boutique that offers designer brands has launched a soft opening in South Orange over the weekend. FittingRoom Gala is a boutique and consignment company that provides designer brand garments and accessories for customer rentals according to co-owners Nikia Dalce and Shivangi Gosai. The owners came up with the business model while attending an MBA program at Montclair State University several years ago where they focused on ensuring women that they would feel beautiful, confident, and fabulous on a daily basis according to Dalce. Located at 325 Valley Street in South Orange, the brick‐and mortar store the boutique offer pieces from major brand designers according to Dalce. "We believe in providing our guests with a true glam and fashionista experience with our boutique and, our collaborating business partners. Clients can rent FittingRoom Gala garments and accessories for a short period of time for a fraction of the retail price" Dalce said. "Depending on the designer, the FittingRoom Gala carries apparel in sizes 0 to 18. Rental prices include the dry cleaning expenses. Clients have the option to include insurance fee for protection against incidents. FittingRoom Gala also rent accessories, which includes handbags, shoes and jewelry. Clients have the option to rent or purchase all store items" according to Dalce. “We believe in recycling beautiful product that shouldn’t be experienced by purchasing, but also by renting luxury items that all women can love and appreciate; an endlessly rotation". FittingRoom Gala goal is to reinvent fashion options in this emerging business model.
