A severely abused dog rescued from a street in Newark life has taken a turn for the better with its new family and now its chance to win a competition to become Pibborafi's plushies.
Company officials say the dog named "Blue" was rescued off the streets of Newark in lousy condition with a large untreated scar on his head.
"He was found malnourished, underweight, and had nothing but pebbles in his stomach that he desperately tried to eat as food" according to a statement released by company officials.
Officials say Blue developed painful cysts and had to get then drained frequently. He received the surgery he so well deserved and is now living his best life pain-free with his new, loving family.
Pibborafi is a company that makes stuffed animal versions of real rescue dogs, and also helps donate to other rescues in the community.
