Yardville Man Sentenced for Using Email to Distribute Images of Child Sexual Abuse

Yardville

A 32-year-old Yardville man was sentenced today to 121 months in prison for using his e-mail account to distribute images of child sexual abuse, Acting U.S. Attorney William. E Fitzpatrick announced.

Judge Cooper imposed the sentence against Christopher Walsh today in Trenton federal court after he previously pleaded guilty to one count of receiving and distributing child pornography.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:

From June 15, 2014 through Jan. 10, 2016, Walsh’s email account either sent or received a total of 1,590 files that contained content constituting child pornography. Walsh, who was a school bus driver, admitted that on Aug. 2, 2015, he knowingly emailed a video depicting child sexual abuse to another individual.

In addition to the prison term, Judge Cooper sentenced Walsh to 10 years of supervised release.
