Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center is teaming up with The Christopher “CJ” Morgan Memorial Foundation for its annual Golf Classic on September 10 at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth.

The partnership brings together two Essex County organizations focused on supporting children and young people.
Wynona’s House works to protect children from abuse, assist families in the healing process and connect them with resources and opportunities.
The CJ Morgan Memorial Foundation focuses on education, leadership, service and scholarships for young people.
The foundation was created in memory of Christopher “CJ” Morgan, a West Orange native and cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Morgan was remembered for his commitment to faith, leadership and service to others, values the foundation continues through its programs and scholarship efforts.

Wynona’s House CEO and Executive Director Robert Crocker said the collaboration reflects both organizations’ commitment to helping young people build stronger futures, particularly through education and access to opportunities.
April S. Morgan, president of the CJ Morgan Memorial Foundation, said the partnership provides another way to continue CJ’s legacy of encouraging others and investing in future generations.
During the Golf Classic, participants will have the option to select CJ Morgan Foundation tickets when registering, with a designated portion of the proceeds benefiting the foundation’s scholarship program.

Organizers said CJ Morgan will also be honored through a special on-course commemoration, a live auction opportunity and an appearance by Dr. Jordan Velez.
The September 10 event begins with registration and breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
A cocktail mixer and silent auction will open at 1:30 p.m., with the fundraising luncheon, awards presentation and auctions beginning at 2:30 p.m.
