Worker at Jersey Gardens Mall Test Positive for Coronavirus

The following is a statement from the Mills at Jersey Gardens mall in Elizabeth:

"As we have communicated, The Mills at Jersey Gardens® is taking extraordinary steps to keep everyone healthy and safe.

We were notified that an employee of a tenant at our property tested positive for Covid-19. The tenant is closed until further notice.

We want to assure you that we have taken the necessary measures to help safeguard our shoppers, our employees, and our tenants.

Our enhanced and comprehensive cleaning program includes:

Regular deep cleaning with CDC-approved disinfectants at increased frequencies in compliance with CDC and World Health Organization cleaning guidelines

Nightly comprehensive cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting to prepare for business the next day

Throughout the day, increased cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing throughout the common areas of our property with a particular focus on highly trafficked locations, including, but not limited to:

· Mall entrances

· Restrooms

· Seating areas

· Dining area

· Guest Services

· Strollers

· Trash cans

· Door handles/knobs

· Drinking fountains

· Mall offices

We are also strongly advising anyone who is sick to stay at home, and for everyone to follow the safety precautions recommended by the CDC, including:

· Frequent hand washing

· Avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

· Regular hand sanitizing for which stations have been provided throughout the property.
