Woodbridge Police Investigate Early-Morning Pedestrian Crash on Route 1&9

Police in Woodbridge Township are investigating a serious pedestrian crash that occurred early Sunday morning on one of the town’s busiest roadways.

Around 2:45 a.m., officers were called to the area of Route 1&9 at NJ 35 for a report of a person down in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle . 

Responding units arrived to find a pedestrian suffering severe injuries.
 

CPR was administered at the scene before the victim was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where they were reportedly in critical condition.
 

All northbound lanes of Route 1&9 were closed for the crash investigation.
 

No further information was immediately available.
