Authorities have identified a 47-year-old Mendham woman struck and killed by a train at the Morristown station.
According to a witness, victim identified as Sherylynn Barta fell from the platform but despite engineer's attempt to brake and sound the horn she was struck sometime around 2 this morning.
The incident has been declared an accident.
It is unclear at at this time what caused her to fall.
