The Mahwah Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating a domestic violence homicide that occurred at 27 Indian Field Court, Mahwah, early Tuesday Bergen County authorities said.
According to a statement released by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, a 69-year-old female victim died as a result of stab wounds, and her husband, a 73-year-old male suspect is in custody.
Officials said both individuals lived in the home, and no other individuals are believed to be involved.
An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Mahwah Police Department.
