Woman Severely Injured In Secaucus Hit-and-Run Crash

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Secaucus Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian on Thursday, January 26. 

Prosecutor Suarez said at approximately 6:40 a.m.; the Secaucus Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck in the area of Paul Amico Way and County Road.

A Secaucus Police Lieutenant was in the immediate area of the crash and immediately rendered aid to the female pedestrian. 

The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene. The victim – later identified as a 49-year-old Jersey City woman – was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center, where she is being treated for multiple injuries.

Prosecutor Suarez said she is currently listed in critical condition.

During the initial investigation, the vehicle believed to have been involved in the collision was recovered. 

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Secaucus Police Department are actively investigating this case.
