Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect who is wanted for a robbery that occurred in the city's Ironbound section on Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened in the 50's block of Cortland Place shortly before 9 p.m. where police received information on a robbery in progress.
Police arrived at the scene and found a female victim who reported that a Hispanic male approached and demanded her possessions.
EMS were called to the scene to treat the victim's minor injuries received during the incident.
Officers canvassed an abandoned property on Cortland and Manufacturers Place after witnessed reported seeing someone run into the building.
There were no arrests reported.
