Suspects were taken into custody by police after a robbery left a woman injured at a location in Newark on Wednesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were notified of a robbery in progress that occurred in the vicinity of 260 North 6th Street at approximately 9 p.m.
Several police units arrived at the scene found the female victim who reported to police that suspects robbed her then went on the attack causing non-life threatening injuries.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where doctors treated her injuries.
Police found the suspect a short distance away and placed them into custody.
The incident remains under investigation.
