Woman Rescued After Jumping Into Passaic River at Great Falls

Emergency responders rescued a woman from the Passaic River early Monday after she reportedly jumped from the Great Falls.

Police and firefighters were dispatched to the Wayne Avenue and Spruce Street side of the river just before 12:30 a.m. following reports of a person in the water. 

Upon arrival, crews located an unidentified woman in the river and safely brought her to shore.

She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

The incident remains under investigation.
