A violent car crash in Trenton on Saturday afternoon left one woman dead and two men injured, according to information released by Trenton Police.

Just after 12:29 p.m. on Saturday, police received multiple emergency calls reporting an overturned vehicle on fire near 1599 South Broad Street, beyond the intersection with Lalor Street in Hamilton Township.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found two heavily damaged vehicles — a silver Toyota Tacoma that had flipped over and caught fire, and a black BMW — both resting on the lawn of a nearby church.

Emergency responders discovered that a 51-year-old woman from Hamilton Township had been ejected from the Toyota Tacoma during the crash.

She sustained severe injuries, including a compound fracture to her arm and significant trauma to her face and back.

Despite being rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, she later died from her injuries.

The driver of the Tacoma, a 51-year-old man also from Hamilton Township, suffered a laceration to the top of his head.

The driver of the BMW, a 22-year-old Trenton resident, was treated for a facial laceration. Both men were also transported to Capital Health for medical care.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under active investigation.
