Police in Collingswood are looking into an overnight incident where a woman reportedly jumped several stories from a balcony at a location in the town on Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, residents in the 500 block of Newton Lake Drive called police when they found an unidentified female lying on the ground at around 9:45 p.m.
Police and EMS arrived and found the unconscious, unresponsive and badly injured woman at that location. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene according to reports.
Police believe that the woman jumped from the third-floor balcony at the apartment building.
There were no other injuries reported and the incident remains under investigation.
