Police in Newark are looking for three suspects wanted for a violent carjacking and pistol-whipping of a woman in Newark's South Ward this afternoon.
According to police, officials at Beth Israel Hospital contacted authorized when a woman entered the emergency room suffering non-life threatening injuries after being assaulted during a carjacking around 12:05 p.m.
The victim told police that three -young- black males approached armed with a gun and demanded her grey 2013 Honda Civic in the area of Hawthorne Avenue and Fabyan Place.
The victim reported that while attempting to hand over the vehicle, the suspects began to beat her with the gun.
Police say the car has a reported NJ license plate number ”N17-KWE”.
The suspects remain at-large.
