A woman suffered serious injuries in an early morning stabbing incident at a location in Newark's North Ward.
Police were dispatched to the teens block of Cutler Streer to investigate reports of an injured person shortly before 3 a.m.
Upon arrival, EMS units were asked to rush to the scene after police found a wound stabbed multiple times to her body, including her head.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital for treatment while police stayed at the scene and investigated the motive for the attack.
There were no immediate reports of arrests.
