Woman Found Stabbed in Green Township, Sussex County

 A disturbing stabbing incident unfolded on Saturday morning, prompting a rapid response from the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers were summoned to Rachel Lane in Green Township at 8:56 a.m. following a report of a stabbing. 

Upon their arrival at the scene, troopers found Karen Novato-Selimi, a 59-year-old resident of Green Township, suffering from stab wounds.

She was immediately given medical attention and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As of the latest update, she remains in critical but stable condition, surrounded by medical professionals working to aid her recovery.

The suspect in this incident, identified as Louis Selimi, 25,  of Green Township, was promptly apprehended by law enforcement.

Selimi has been charged with multiple serious offenses, including criminal attempted murder, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Following his arrest, he was lodged in Morris County Jail, where he awaits a detention hearing.

The New Jersey State Police are treating this case with the utmost seriousness and diligence, emphasizing that it is an active investigation.
