Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office detectives are investigating a shooting that caused fatal injuries to a woman in Trenton Saturday evening.
According to police, at approximately 7:18 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 280 Walnut Street.
Units arrived and found a woman suffering a bullet wound to her head at that location.
She was rushed to the regional medical center for treatment, where doctors pronounced her dead shortly before 8 p.m.
The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
No other information was immediately available.
