Police in Montclair are investigating a shooting incident that left a woman dead inside a house in Montclair.
According to police, a phone call led to the discovery of a woman found dead overnight in a home.
Authorities received a phone call Monday around 11:50 p.m. to make a wellness check at 304 North Mountain Ave.
Units arrived and found Ms. Angela M. Bledsoe, 44, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Bledsoe was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:17 a.m.
Police charged Mr. James R. Ray, III, 55, with murder and weapons offenses. He remains at-large and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Ray and Bledsoe lived together and had a child in common.
The child is in the care of family members.
