The State Regional Medical Examiners Office will determine the cause of death for a woman found dead on a street in Newark.
According to preliminary reports, police received reports of an unconscious and unresponsive person near a dumpster in the rear of the Nevada Mall located at 27 Court Street just before 7:45 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a white female lying near dumpsters in frigid early morning weather conditions.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead by medical professionals at the scene.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has not reported a homicide investigation and there are no immediate reports of suspicious activities at this time.
