Woman Found Dead Inside Woodbridge Home Under Investigation

Woodbridge Township Colonia

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Robert Hubner, of the Woodbridge Police Department, announced that authorities are investigating the apparent homicide of a 32-year-old woman who was found dead in her home this morning.

Giorgina Nigro of Devon Road in the Colonia section of the township was pronounced dead in her home at 10:01 a.m. today after police were dispatched to the house at 9:28 a.m.

The results of an autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office were not immediately available, but it appeared the woman was the victim of a homicide.

The investigation is active and is continuing, but no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Andrew Kondracki of the Woodbridge Police Department at (732) 634-7700, or Detective Craig Marchak of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3254.

It is unclear at this time if a man who reportedly jumped on to the Garden State Parkway nearby is at all related.
