A fatal three-vehicle crash in Monmouth County on Thursday evening has left one woman dead and two others injured, according to authorities.

According to a statement released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the collision occurred shortly after 5:20 p.m. on March 5 at the intersection of Route 70 and Morningstar Road in Wall Township.
Officers from the Wall Township Police Department responded to reports of a serious crash and found three vehicles involved when they arrived at the scene.
Authorities said all three drivers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
One of the drivers, a woman from Brick Township, later died from her injuries at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity as they continue working to notify her family and loved ones.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Wall Township Police Department, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Prosecutor’s Office.
