A strong armed carjacking of a woman in Newark has police searching for a suspect.
According to reports, the female was followed then approached from behind by a male suspect at around 9 p.m. in the 200 block of South 9th Street near the Reservoir Apartment Complex.
As the suspect got closer to the woman, he reportedly told the victim "not to turn around" and then snatched her keys from her.
The suspect then took the woman's white BMW X5 with a reported NJ license plate number "C25-FPH" according to reports.
The suspect was last seen wearing a red Adidas jacket, dreadlocks pulled back into ponytail close to shoulder length and was light in complexion.
There were no physical injuries reported.
