Newark Police are investigating a broad-daylight carjacking that happened in the city’s North Ward today.
Officers were dispatched to an address in the 800 block of Clifton Avenue to investigate an armed carjacking around 2:39 p.m.
Several units arrived and located a woman who reported that two armed males produced a gun and demanded her vehicle.
Police say the suspects took the victim’s silver Honda Civic, phone, and her bag before speeding away from the scene.
The suspects were last seen heading southbound on Clifton Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
