Police in Newark are on the search for suspects wanted for a violent carjacking of a woman in the city's South Ward Friday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, the unidentified woman reported to police that while at a location on Weequahic Avenue, a heavyset black male suspect -around the ages of 30-40- approached and began to punch her .
The victim said the suspect then entered her silver 2008 BMW 528 series vehicle and sped away.
Police said the victim did not suffer any severe injuries.
The suspect remains at-large.
