Police are looking into a reported assault of a woman that occurred at a Walgreens store in Elizabeth on Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were dispatched to the parking lot of the store located on Grove and Rahway Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. after they received reports of an assault in progress.
Upon arrival, police located the female victim suffering minor injuries after she said a male approached and went on the attack according to reports.
Police are actively investigating the assault and has begun a search for the suspect.
No arrests have been reported.
