Woman Arrested in Washington Township for Attempted Murder, Stabbing

According to Gloucester county officials, on Monday, January 31, at approximately 11:22 a.m., officers from the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Meeting House Road, Turnersville, for a stabbing. 

County officials said that the male victim had called 9-1-1 reporting that a female, identified as 38-year-old Megan M. Falk, stabbed him several times before fleeing the residence. 

The victim was transported to the Cooper Hospital Trauma Center in Camden City for treatment.

According to officials, the female suspect was taken into custody by Washington Township PD personnel after discovering she was hiding in a detached shed at a nearby residence.

Officials stated that as a result of the joint investigation by the WTPD and GCPO, Falk was charged with the following crimes:

  • Criminal Attempt Murder 
  • Aggravated Assault 
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose
  • Contempt

Falk was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
