Authorities in Newark are reporting the arrest of Ms. Melisa Masker, 30, of Newark, on a charge of Disorderly Conduct in an incident in which she posed barefoot, atop a Newark Police vehicle sometime between Thursday, August 9th, and Monday, August 13th, 2018.
According to police, police patrolling the 600-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue on Monday observed Masker violating a drinking in public ordinance and issued her a summons.
Police say officers identified Masker as the individual depicted in a recent social media post on top of a Newark Police vehicle.
Police also discovered that Masker was wanted on four outstanding warrants according to police.
Officers immediately arrested Masker and also charged her with Contempt of Court.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
