Witnesses Sought in Branchburg Vehicle Theft

BRANCHBURG TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor announced an investigation into a motor vehicle theft that occurred in Branchburg Township.

Prosecutor Robertson stated on July 25, 2019 at approximately 1:13 p.m., Branchburg Police responded to the QuickChek located at 1296 Route 28 for a report of a motor vehicle theft.

Upon arrival, patrol officers spoke with the victim who reported that they parked their vehicle and entered the store.

The victim stated that after being in the store for a short period of time, they exited the store and found that their vehicle was gone.

The Branchburg Police Department is looking for anyone who may have information or witnessed this crime, as the QuickChek had numerous customers at the time of the incident.
