Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $50K Sold in Union County

Check your Powerball tickets, New Jersey Lottery officials announce that a third-tier prize ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Union County business.

There was one New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Wed., Sept. 7 drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have been worth $100,000.

The Powerball jackpot rolls to $205,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Sat., Sept. 10 at 10:59 pm.

The winning ticket from Wednesday night’s drawing was sold at O’ Johnnies Variety, 170 Westfield Ave., Clark.

The winning numbers for the Wed., Sept. 7 drawing were: 22, 23, 29, 33 and 55. The Red Power Ball number was 21. The Multiplier number was 02.

In addition to the third-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were 30,898 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $154,083 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
